Leap Orbit Achieves Privacy and Security Re-Accreditation from DirectTrust™

Accreditation Recognizes Excellence in Health Data Processing and Transactions; Ensures Compliance with HIPAA Privacy and Security Provisions

Leap Orbit, a leading provider of cloud-driven, scalable solutions for health data interoperability, announced today it has achieved Privacy and Security re-accreditation from the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC) through DirectTrust™.

This re-accreditation follows a comprehensive third-party review in which DirectTrust evaluated Leap Orbit across various criteria including privacy and security, technical performance, business practices, customer service, personnel requirements, and third-party Cloud Service Providers. DirectTrust determined that Leap Orbit continues to meet or exceed all criteria and industry standards for managing and transferring protected health information (PHI).

As bad actors continue to target the healthcare industry, it is vital for any organization that handles PHI to comply with HIPAA privacy and security provisions. Leap Orbit has established trust and confidence among existing and prospective stakeholders by achieving this critical re-accreditation.
— Lee Barrett, Commission Executive Director, DirectTrust
